Jay Holowach is a Philadelphia-based composer and musician exploring the soundtrack to civilization's collapse

Jay's early forays into composing were cut short by his spilling red wine onto the laptop computer he used for recording. Undeterred, he moved on to less fragile equipment, playing an unusually heavy bass guitar for several projects including roots ska group Silver Dollar, space rock band The Cosmic Brotherhood of Ra, and Bollywood cover band Jersey Rhythms. He now impersonates Morrissey in the Smiths tribute band Unloveable.

Since earning a Master's degree in Composition, Jay has been using his ear for mimicry and the aesthetic sense he earned from years frittered away consuming media to create retro-futuristic music and soundscapes for games and film. He writes in his spare time and co-hosts the spirituality interview podcast "Communion in the House of Life".
